Guide to the Special Cash Payments

On April 20th, 2020, the Japanese cabinet agreed on a 12.8 trillion yen supplemental budget for a “COVID-19 special fixed benefit”. Each eligible individual will be able to receive 100,000 yen from the benefit.

The benefit is expected to be distribute to households in Tsu city soon after the supplemental budget bill is passed in the Parliament.

Tsu city has established “The office for COVID-19 special fixed benefit” to help Tsu citizens receive the benefit. The details about how and when to apply will be posted on the Tsu city website when they have been decided.

Tsu city will do its best to send the benefit promptly to help the finances of its citizens who have been patient and diligent in this difficult situation.

ELIGIBLE PEOPLE AND APPLICANTS

(1) Eligibility

People who are registered as Tsu city residents as of April 27th, 2020.

 

(2) People who can apply

Head of each household

 

AMMOUNT

100,000 yen per eligible individual

 

HOW TO APPLY

There are two basic methods for applying from home as a measure to prevent Coronavirus infections.

 

(1) Application by mail

The bank account number for the transfer should be written on the application form that was sent to the head of the household and should be mailed with the necessary documents (supplemental documents for the bank transfer and ID)

 

(2) On-line application (My number card is required)

Go to the external link (Mynaportal) and enter the number of your bank transfer. The necessary documents can be uploaded.

 

 PAYMENT METHOD

The total amount for all family members will be transferred to the bank account of the head of the household.

 

 WHEN IT STARTS

The system for distributing this benefit has been proceeding as swiftly as possible due to the urgency of the situation. Tsu city will announce the commencement as soon as possible.
